The bird is my own original illustration, which I have sewn onto cardstock weight paper and then freeform embroidered. They are for sale in my shop, in sets of five for $15.oo. Yay!

Christmas was lovely (: I love my family and I am so glad to be home with them again! Last year the holidays were spent far from my mom, dad and sister in California. This year we are blessed with such glorious Canadian snow, The perfect addition to a true Christmas holiday ;-)

Lovely Sara of The Handmade Gift Guide included my sweet lil' matryoshka ornaments in her blog post today! (: (: Thanks, Sara! (: I have to admit that I have one of these little ladies hanging on my very own Christmas tree and I must say, she is rather beautiful (:

Jason built this last weekend for Isabella's birthday (: It was at first a perfect fit for her and she could stand it in perfectly without bopping her head on the ceiling. A few wet snows and some rain and warm days have since taken place and now it's more Jude's size! What a lovely thing to peer out your kitchen window in the morning and see a snow house sitting in the back yard (:

Blog features!

This week I was fortunate enough to see my work featured in two blog posts!

Here is the first, shown on the blog, 'A little framework'. A lovely collection of matryoshkas ~ Mine is in the bottom left corner,, one of my Matryoshka art prints!

The second feature takes place at Zemphira Scatter Art! Sara is a fellow etsy seller and has some rather delightful wares in her shop (: She bought these two owl ornaments and was pretty pumped about them so she wrote a blog post! Yay!

New artwork!

I have added two new art prints to my etsy shop! I love it when I finish a new creative project, and how much better when it's two! Firstly, here is my Blue Bird print:

And here is my Mama Tree and Baby Tree print. It is very much inspired by my daily life as a mother and my great love of nature. I love trees. They are great, grand beings, full of spirit.
