We were thoroughly impressed with Mission Santa Barbara when we visited. It really is amazing; A beautifully restored mission, and very large. We were there for a long time, marveling at every little detail of the architecture, relics and mission grounds. I would have to say that this is my second favourite mission, My absolute Number 1 favourite being La Purisima Mission, but I haven't posted any pictures of this one yet (: That place was pure magic..But then, they all are in their own way. All that history..wondrous (:

I love the mission in Santa Barbara -- do they still have the aviary for birds in the central courtyard garden?
